2012 has begun with evidences of God's blessing upon GF but also with a sense of intense spiritual opposition from Satan as he continues his work of hindering faithful ministers & ministry (1st Thessalonians 2 verse 18)
We were blessed by fellowship in a combined worship service with Bassendean Presbyterian Church on New Years morning. During the remainder of January 2012 the preaching ministry focussed on preparing our hearts & minds from the Word of God for the arrival of our new Co-Pastor Karl Von Buddenbrock. Karl has been ministering in the Church of England of South Africa but has now come & joined our pastoral team in an interim capacity for the duration of 2012.
Julian & he will share the ministry throughout the rest of the year. We are grateful to God for Karl & his willingness to help, albeit in a 'tent-making capacity'. Karl is married to Dawn & they have 4 sons. Karl is a gifted preacher & Dawn a gifted musician. Please uphold them in your prayers. On Sunday February 5th Karl was commissioned & welcomed into his role as co-pastor with Julian for 2012. It was a great time of worship, preaching & encouragement. Also in February 5 members of our congregation will be attending the "Pass the Baton" training day for children's ministry with a view to them joining our Sunday School ministry. This is a real answer to prayer for us, sometimes we have as many as 30 or more primary aged children in church. We really thank God for these families but also are aware of the great opportunity & responsibility they represent to both Parents & Church to teach & train in the glorious Gospel.
Our Pastor Julian Bull will be making his 8th trip to Burma (Myanamar) in February to conduct, once again, the annual Pastors Conference organised by the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Myanamar & the Mustard Seed Foundation. We expect the greatest number of Pastors ever to attend this year. Please pray for this ministry & its fruit. If you would like more information in the form of a detailed report or photos please e mail Pastor Julian & let him know.
WE & ALL THE PASTORS WHO ATTEND ARE PROFOUNDLY GRATEFUL TO THE GENEROUS GIFTS OF VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS & CHURCHES THAT MAKE THIS MINISTRY POSSIBLE YEAR AFTER YEAR.
We are also thanking God for the evangelisitic ministry being carried on by Richard & Jane O'Wallace on behalf of Grace Fellowship in the local area. Let us thank God & continue to pray for further growth in holiness & love.
